Thank You, Butterfly Fest Participants

We were beyond excited by the number of attendees, education partners, entertainers, and more at our second annual Butterfly Fest and Native Plant Sale! We estimate that probably 400-500 people passed through the school grounds, and the NPA Booster Club was able to successfully fund its budget for the 2026-27 school year from the plant sale. Last year's profits enabled us to purchase 5 new picnic tables to create an outdoor classroom for the program, and we're already brainstorming for how we can improve the program next year!
We'd also like to thank Bailey Cheer, Bailey Choir, Bailey Jazz Band, and student band "The Abnormals" for providing our guests with some fantastic entertainment. Attendees also got a huge kick out of the chicken fashion show put on by our own NPA students! And of course all our volunteers (especially NJHS students) made sure the event went off without a hitch.
We are especially thrilled by the large number of education partners who came out to our event. We had 15 organizations from all across Austin provide attendees with information about native plants, animals, geology, waterways, and other conservation efforts. It was highly educational, and we still have people raving about getting to explore the Lost Oasis Cave across from the school!
Finally, we wouldn't be able to have put together such an expansive event without our sponsors, who ensured we were able to purchase the best native plants from local wholesalers while simultaneously ensuring that all activities at the festival were completely free to enjoy. We truly appreciate our local businesses and community members!
