What to Expect

In this class, your student can expect to learn about:

Your student will also be participating in many fun hands-on activities, such as:

  • Caring for the chickens, ducks, and rabbits in our outdoor chicken coop

  • Growing native plants in our nursery and growing tree saplings in our air pruning beds

  • Observing animal food chains and lifecycles through our reptile enclosures, classroom aquariums, and worm composting bins

  • Learning about the importance of pollinators through a butterfly hatching and release unit

Volunteer in the Classroom

Would you like to volunteer in the classroom while expanding your knowledge about native plants and animals? Ms. Tafoya would appreciate the help of parents who can regularly volunteer in the classroom each week to facilitate hands-on activities — like in our plant nursery and chicken coop.
